April 2000
April 3rd
Just got back from a brilliant weekend in London. Paul and I went up with Liz and Andy, and we met Mark and Brett up there. We went to see the musical "Cats" on Friday night and then saw Steps at G.A.Y. on Saturday night. As usual, I went a bit wild when they were on the stage - but then I was pretty pissed! It's the first time I have met Brett - he is a really nice guy. Now we are home I just want to go back again! There are a few pictures of us out on the town in the gallery.

Last night I went to my first "Murder Mystery" dinner. One of the girls at work arranged it and eight of us set out to find out "whodunnit". My part was Lord Selby Withering (Willy to his friends!) and it was my mother that had been killed. Right from the start everyone was in fits of laughter (helped by the ample supplies of wine!). Memorable lines from the evening were "You can't put willy where willy won't go!" and "I will do anything to clear your passage", By about ten o'clock we had totally lost the plot - probably caused by too much alcohol and also because some of our own revelations overshadowed the murder - Mark told us about a secret conquest, shortly before putting on one of Louisa's dresses and I "came out" to the only two people there that didn't know about me! It really was a great evening - some of the photos are now in the Gallery.

So, that was Easter! Well, I enjoyed the 3 days off - but didn't do much really. Dad came down and helped put up a new light in the hall. Paul says it is really camp - its difficult to describe, but its a chrome spiral track with halogen spot lights on it with kind of pointy blue bits on each light. Camp it may be - but I like it!! (There has to be something camp about me after all!) Later in the day my cousin brought my godchildren down to visit - they are simply THE best godchildren anyone could have - but it is nice and quiet when they go! This flat (and its owner!) are simply not designed to have children around!
Looking forward to the weekend - going to stay with Paul's parents and gonna spend Saturday evening at G.A.Y. (again!)
