July 12th

(News Flash coming up....!) I have been out on the "scene" in Bournemouth for the first time in nearly a year. There is a history to this, which I won't go into too much, but will explain a little. I used to go out a lot to the Xchange etc but haven't been since last September as I can't cope with bumping into a certain person from my past. Yep, you've guessed it, it's someone who has permanently killed off a bit of my heart.

Anyway, our mate Kevin came down to stay in Bournemouth last weekend and, between him and another mate Mark, they managed to get me drunk enough to go out with them. (It also helped to know that the certain person wasn't around!). As you can probably guess I had a really good time and even managed to avoid doing any Steps routines!! Impressive, eh?! As I haven't been around much in the last year I was like "fresh meat" and have since been propositioned twice in the shop - "my friend fancies you..." - you know the kind of thing!!

At this point I should point out that I have actually been out in the last year - just not in Bournemouth!! Really want to go to see the Venga Boys at GAY on 12th August, but can't as we are going to see Jane McDonald at the B.I.C.!

Quote of the week from a customer at work:

"I want a refund on this wine, cos when I drank it, it gave me a headache!" - honest!! :-)

Ok - apologies that it has been a while since the last update - I have been really busy - but not with anything particularly exciting! Hmm let me see...

Spent a couple of pleasant afternoons on the beach (10 minutes walk away from the flat - it's ok to get jealous now!) Last Wednesday, spent the afternoon sitting outside the Durley Chine Pub - which is right on the beach - glugging back Smirnoff Ice and enjoying a laugh with Paul and two mates from work - Stuart & Justin. Its ages since I have been out for a drink with them - hope there will be lots more!

Kev came down to stay on Saturday and we spent the afternoon on the beach - the water was freezing so didn't go in deeper than my knees - well, you have to be careful - if it's too cold important bits start to shrink!! (There is a rumour that Kev doesn't have to worry about that - but we won't go any further with that one!) Instead, we stayed on the sand soaking up the sun and "talent" spotting - another benefit of living by the sea!!
