October 20th

God, has it really been nearly a month since I last wrote anything here? So, what's been happening? Well, I have just changed jobs - still in the same branch but now Administration Manager, which means I am responsible for personnel, cash office, general office and audit. Exciting, eh?! Just one real down point though - I won't be on the shop floor very much so I don't get to eye up the horny guys that come in!

Paul and I went to London last weekend and saw Steps at G.A.Y. As usual, the place was packed but we got in straight away at 10pm thanks to being on the e-mail list. Steps were brilliant as usual - you may be pleased to hear that Lee has now put his hair back to normal after the spiky phase!! But oh, Claire love, you are definitely getting a bit wide in the hip area!! They started off with their version of the G.A.Y. anthem "Better the Devil You Know", closely followed by their new single "Stomp" - definitely a good party track for Christmas! After that the audience were treated to the compulsory rendition of "Tragedy", and also the dance version of "Deeper Shade of Blue" (my favourite!). All in all a great night - but with two vodka and Red Bulls costing £10.80 we didn't get too drunk!! There are pictures in the Gallery and Steps pages.

We have seen Marc and Mark quite a lot in the last few weeks - it's really nice to have them as our new friends! Went out for a meal last night - Marc was looking thoughtfully at the menu as the waitress took our orders - ordering on Mark's behalf he said "...and my friend will have the nut allergy!!" Hmm, maybe you had to be there!!

My birthday on Tuesday - 28 again! :-))
