March 8th  Its Bonus Day !

This is the one day of the year that everyone who works for the John Lewis Partnership looks forward to! It's the announcement of the annual bonus. For those of you that don't know - we are all Partners in the business, so all the profits get shared between us once a year. Throughout the whole company everyone gets together in their branches at 9.30am and we all find out this years figure at the same time. This year we got 10% of our salary - pretty good although it has been up to 24% a few years back!

I think my money is going to be spent on finally finishing the flat off! 

March 9th

At last! John Lewis have FINALLY fitted my kitchen sink - free of charge to make up for the mess up they have made (see entry for January 28th). It looks pretty good and no more blood was shed in its fitting! Come to think of it there was a pack of plasters out on the worktop when I got home - maybe someone died to fit my sink!! Oh well - at least its done now!

We are off to Bristol this afternoon for the weekend for our anniversary (which is actually on Wednesday next week)

March 16th  The week I threw up ! 

Tuesday night was the AGM at work - its actually a big meeting at Bournemouth Pavilion where we have a meal, hear how the Partnership has done in the last year and then PARTY!! This year I partied a little too hard and spent all of Wednesday paying for it!  To say I threw up would be an understatement! Just a sip of water down my throat sent me rushing to the bathroom to heave down the toilet again! Ok - ENOUGH! I won't go any further with that story! I think its the closest I have come to alcohol poisoning - I can't help it if people want to buy me drinks, can I?!

Highlight of the week was seeing Kylie Minogue at the B.I.C. last night - she was EXCELLENT! I think she was genuinely shocked by the huge response she got from the audience - mind you, most of them were gay so what did she expect? The local paper said "grown men turned into teenyboppers" - have they never seen a venue full of gay men before?! The whole show was brilliant - lots of new songs and some of the old favourites too including a Broadway twist to some of her earlier hits. Our crowd immediately fell in lust with one of her dancers - a rather horny guy called Paulo - great body and, as we discovered at the end, a pierced nipple too - we all resolved to get our nipples done too... hmmm... maybe a few more trips to the gym first to make it worthwhile!

Talking about the gym... we have only been twice in the last two weeks ... dreadful really - its not a lack of enthusiasm - just a lack of time .... honest!
