Wednesday 4th December It's bollocks!
I have just about had enough at work and have told them so. After 17 years working for the same company I really feel like I want a change - be that in or out of the company. I spoke to the Staff Manager who didn't really give much encouragement. I had thought of maybe transferring to John Lewis in Southampton - will give it until after Christmas to see how it goes.
Monday 16th December Morning after the night before!
It was our work Christmas Party last night. It was a really good night until near the end. There I was dancing away when I got called out cos some damage had been caused to a car in the car park. As the "most senior" person from my branch there I had to talk to the hotel management and then with the police - not a nice way to end the evening - and I had to pretend to be sober too!!
Tuesday 24th December Christmas Eve
Spent the day running the checkouts - just like old times - except that the customers are even more unpleasant - must make a diary note not to offer to do that again! Maybe I will have escaped the evil world of retail by this time next year.
Drove up to Mum & Dad's this evening - all set for the traditional family Christmas, with the added advantage that Paul is here too this year.
