March 7th  In the money again!

It's that time of the year when the good old John Lewis Partnership announces the annual bonus. This year we got 9% of our annual wage - not bad, but I have known it as high as 24%! Mine is going partly on a new computer with the rest on a new car.

March 24th  Party animal

Busy couple of weeks! First there was the Waitrose AGM at the Pavilion in Bournemouth, then a party at Ryan & Kev's and then a weekend in London - will I be able to get over the excitement of it all?

Had a great laugh at Ry and Kev's - they sure know how to throw a good party! Loads of booze, good music and Kev's excellent lights and smoke machine - great atmosphere! Make sure you invite us to the next one guys!

This weekend we have been up in London - stayed for 3 nights at the Marriott Hotel at Swiss Cottage. A really nice hotel but they did keep trying to charge us extra for breakfast every day - it took a trip to an internet cafe and a reminder every day to stop them!! While we were up there we went to the Ideal Home Exhibition, the Natural History Museum and Canary Wharf. Met up with Mark & John, who were also up there, a couple of times and went to G-A-Y on Saturday night to see Westlife - swoon! Oh and of course there was the compulsory visit to John Lewis Oxford Street!! There are a couple of new London pics in the Gallery.

The only downer was the train journey home on Sunday afternoon. It took four and three quarter hours!!! There was engineering work, which I understand they have to do, but Railtrack, is it really absolutely necessary for it to take one hour for a train to change tracks in a station?! Ever heard of Winchfield? We know it well now!!
