June 2003
Wednesday 4th June Norway
So far we have been to Bergen, Stavanger and Kristiansand. We have been pretty lucky with the weather - the North Sea Crossing was calm and sunny and the weather has stayed pretty much like that throughout - except for our day in Stavanger. We were out in the middle of a Fjord in the pouring rain, but still determined to stay on the outside of the little boat so we didn't miss anything!
The ship is really nice but the service seems a bit chaotic - not up to the usual P&O standards!
Sunday 8th June Norway and Denmark
We have now been to Oslo and Copenhagen. Both of which are lovely cities. We had a lovely evening tour in Copenhagen - it started with a canal boat tour (I didn't know Copenhagen had canals) - which was great a really friendly atmosphere with all the bars along the canal banks, then we went into the Tivoli gardens. We just have Aarhus and Bruges left now - we are going on a trip to the original Legoland from Aarhus!!
Tuesday 10th June Speeding ticket
Well back home again now and amongst the mountain of post, I have got my first speeding ticket! Gutted! I know I have done wrong and all that but it still pisses you off!! 62mph in a 50 zone (it is a dual carriageway!!). I have also got my appointment for the brain scan through today - its next Thursday.
Thursday 19th June Brain Scan day
Have been for my MRI brain scan today. Hopefully they will find out what is causing my headaches. The actual scan wasn't very pleasant - a bit claustrophobic and actually very noisy - a bit like having your head inside the speaker in a disco! I was actually only in the machine for about 15 minutes which wasn't too bad - glad it wasn't any longer. I am not sure how long it will be before I get the results.
Thursday 26th June Back to the gym!
I have finally got myself sorted and decided to go back to the gym. I have been dutifully paying my £46 a month since last August but haven't set foot in the place because of the headaches etc. Have now decided that enough is enough and am going for a review to start me off on a "back to basics" program!! Lets hope I can stick to it!!
