Where I Live

Well, as Liz is showing you, I live in Bournemouth on the sunny south coast of the United Kingdom. I am actually in Westbourne, which is on the outskirts of the town - to the West funnily enough!

Bournemouth is one of the top holiday resorts on the south coast - understandably so as its a great place to be! :-)  I live ten minutes walk from the beach, which is great in the summer, and about 20 minutes walk from the town centre. The nearest section of beach to me is Alum Chine.

The town has a reputation for being a retirement place full of old people. Well, there are certainly a fair few of them around, but it is also a great centre for young people. Loads of pubs and clubs in the town!!

It's also a pretty gay-friendly town. I read somewhere the other day that it has the fourth largest gay population in the UK. There are some pretty good pubs/clubs - although I have to say that the "everyone knowing everyone else's business" way of life doesn't really appeal to me. For that reason, and some others, I am not a regular visitor.
